About Radiant Belly
Hi, my name is Lorell Miller and I started Radiant Belly in 2007 when I was in midwifery school. I am a midwife and live in Portland, Oregon with my husband Jason and our son. We are avid bike commuters and enjoy bike camping.
As Radiant Belly, we provide home birth kits and midwifery supplies to midwives and their clients, the most friendly and helpful customer service and competitive prices on the products we sell. If you find one of my products at a cheaper price elsewhere, please let me know and I will try to beat it! In addition, if you want me to carry an item that I don't currently carry, please let me know I will see if I can find a supplier!
I've set up Radiant Belly to be as sustainable of a business as I can make it. We pick the box that most closely fits the products we are shipping and cut it down if it is too big. This minimizes the amount of packing materials that we need to use. We also reuse as many boxes and packaging materials as we can. Then we recycle everything else that we can. Many of the products we carry to have more packaging materials that I'd like. I do what I can to choose products that have less packaging, but sometimes there is no alternative.

SHIPPING ALERT: Due to the coronavirus outbreak, there may be delays in processing and shipping orders. We are currently keeping up on orders. If we get behind, we will process them based on urgency and order received. Please include in the comments if you have any order urgency.
We strive to get orders placed before 10 am packed and shipped the same or next business day. Occasionally due to circumstances outside our control (weather, inventory delays, etc) shipping is delayed. If your order will be delayed more than 1 business day we will call or email you.
Local Pickup: You can choose to pick up orders from our location in NE Portland for no cost. In general, we will pack these orders received before 10 am the same day. We will email you with pickup details after the order is packed.
Standard flat rate shipping we choose either UPS Ground, UPS SmartPost or USPS Priority Mail. It is charged based on the total price of your order and where the package is being shipped. If you are charged more than $5 over what we actually pay, we will refund you the difference. If you want a quote for shipping in advance, please email us. The Flat Rate shipping can take up to 10 business days when we ship using UPS SurePost (this is rarely used). If this will be too long, please contact us so we can choose a different shipping method.
Free Shipping on orders above $350 when shipped within in the Continental US and $500 for orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico!
Expedited Shipping: Note that UPS and USPS aren't guaranteeing delivery times during the pandemic. Therefore, we can't guarantee them either. If you choose expedited shipping and it doesn't arrive on time, we are not giving refunds. Our experience is that most of the time during the pandemic, expedited shipping is arriving on time. You can pay extra for expedited shipping, but that is your risk. We charge actual shipping charges for expedited shipping. When placing an order with these shipping rates, you will be charged an initial estimated amount. If the actual cost is more than the estimate, we will charge you the extra amount and notify you. Orders with expedited shipping will ship the same business day if we receive them before 10 am in Portland, Oregon. Otherwise they will ship the next business day.
Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policies
Most items can be returned within 60 days if they are returned unused and in the original condition. Home birth kits are returnable within 60 days if everything in the kit is returned unused. There are no returns on face masks. Orders received by Radiant Belly after 60 days past the purchase date will be refunded the total price of the kit less a 10% restocking fee. Please contact us to arrange a return. Orders received past 60 days, some items will not be eligible for a refund at our discretion, depending on the product and length of time since ordering.
Orders can be canceled and refunded in whole if it has not been shipped yet. After shipping, the order would be considered a return and the return policy would be in effect.
